• spielt Batá seit 1988
• lernte bei Ralf Moufang, Ottmar Köhler, Milian Galí Rivery, Félix Navarro, Francisco Hernández Mora (Pancho Quinto), Angel Bolaños Corrales, Javier Piña Márquez, Daniel Carbonell Constantin, Reimundo Sosa Reinoldes, Andreas Molino und Cristobal Larrinaga; auch autodidaktisches Studium
• beherrscht nahezu das gesamte Repertoire auf allen drei Trommeln (Okónkolo, Itótele und Iyá) im Havanna-Stil.
• Im Juli 2005 als Omoañá eingeweiht auf den Tambor "Aña Ara Lovo Ore" (Adofó, 1896) in Regla /La Habana, Zeremonialerfahrung an der Okónkolo. Seit 2007 Olorisha, Omo-Obatala.
• ehem. musikalischer Direktor der Gruppe Ayé Ilú (1994-2005)
• Autor des Standardwerks Cantos Lucumí a los Orichas (oché books, 1998)
