Thomas Altmann's Gretsch Drum Set

I bought this kit around 1975 new, at a price for which you wouldn't even get a single bass drum of this brand today. It is jet black covered, sizes being 20x14, 14x14 and 12x8 inches with a matching 14x5,5 Name Band snare drum. Hardware is Pearl (cymbal- and snare stands), a Ludwig Atlas Hi-Hat stand and the Tama Camco chaindrive bass drum pedal. Cymbals are Avedis Zildjian 19' Medium Ride, an 18' Crash Ride with 6 rivets installed, and 13' New Beat Hi-Hats. Clearly projecting a modern Jazz image, this sportscar of a drum kit is the most versatile set-up I could think of; I played every style of music on it.
